Client is in the elder healthcare industry with facilities throughout the northeast. The IT team is small and collegial with a great hands-on manager. There will be a lot of variety including Business Intelligence and Project Management opportunity.

The SharePoint / Enterprise Applications Developer is responsible for developing and enhancing the company’s SharePoint/K2 applications to maintain intranet and develop future applications.  This role will also assist in maintaining enterprise databases and assist in the Business Intelligence initiatives where required.   
Primary Duties:
  • Design, develop and support SharePoint solutions and advanced workflows using SharePoint Designer, InfoPath, custom ASP.NET web forms and K2 Blackpearl.
  • Effectively interact with internal clients/departments (home office and field locations), IT Support and vendors for the corresponding applications.
  • Business Systems Analysis: Review, analyze and evaluate business systems, current business processes and departmental needs alongside the Subject Matter Experts of each application.
  • Provides design recommendations, develops application and custom integration solutions, including major enhancements and interfaces.
  • Translates business and technical requirements into cross-functional business application systems, providing custom integration solutions, including major system enhancements; collaborates in setting development guidelines
  • Responsible for the creation of project documentation and assists in the technical planning aspects of future enhancements and application roadmap.
  • Provides application support to end users and other members of the IT team during regular and after hours support as needed for applications supported by the team.  Able to quickly isolate and resolve production performance problems.  Handles unresolved production support issues across multiple areas of expertise.

  • Technical: 
    • Experience migrating SharePoint 2013 to SharePoint online
    • 1+ years experience with SharePoint 2013 environment, including SSRS integration, PerformancePoint and PowerPivot
    • Application development experience: VS2008-2013, .Net
    • Experience in web languages/utilities such as JavaScript, jQuery, HTML5, XML, CSS, ASP.net, C# and PowerShell
    • Pluses: Experience with BPM applications such as K2 Blackpearl  
      • Developing K2 application using K2 API/SDK.
      • Designing K2 Workflows, Smart forms and Smart objects using K2 Designer and K2 Studio.
      • Experience in the Design, development, and maintenance of custom workflows, user controls, web parts and server-side code, for corporate intranet web sites and client portals deployed to SharePoint 2013 and SharePoint 2010 environments.
      • Daily Monitoring, Maintenance and support ongoing patching of K2 BlackPearl Servers.
Experience in Workflow Automation, Dashboard Development, Content Management (using K2 Blackpearl server with SharePoint 2013 Farm is only a major plus - not required).
  • Must be experienced creating SQL statements, triggers, stored procedures, and data extraction routines to import/export data (ETL) from the repositories.
  • Experience working with SQL Server Reporting Services.
  • Basic knowledge of database maintenance activities including backups, indexing, integrity and consistency checking.
  • SQL partitioning, log shipping, replication and other advanced SQL Server implementations a plus
  • Education:
    • Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science (or related field) or equivalent experience required.  MBA preferred
  • Travel:
    • Occasional travel (day trips to local Elder care communities, ~5 times per year)
  • Nice to Haves:
    • Understanding of healthcare industry
    • HR or Accounting Systems experience desired
